How to request deletion

To request deletion or anonymisation of a 2016Chat account, email support@2016chat.com from the email address connected to your account where possible.

Include your account email or user identifier and write "Account deletion request" in the subject line.

What may happen next

2016Chat may need to verify that you control the account before acting on the request. Once verified, account information may be deleted or anonymised, subject to limited retention for safety, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute handling, support, and operations.

Retention limits

2016Chat does not promise that all data is instantly or permanently deleted. Some records may be retained for a limited period where needed to protect users, investigate abuse, prevent fraud, comply with law, resolve disputes, or maintain reliable operations.

Anonymised or aggregated information may be retained where it no longer identifies you.
